Abstract:

Humans have been battling viruses since before our species had even evolved into its modern form. For some viral diseases, vaccines and antiviral drugs have allowed us to keep infections from spreading widely, and have helped sick people recover. For viruses such as small pox, we've been able to eradicate them completely. Throughout time, certain viruses have wreaked havoc on the human population killing many. In this project, students formulate hypothesis about virus containment and eradication, compare them to historical data, map their spread and time from first notice to final host, and write narrative and creat mechanical represenatations of their knowledge.
